Australian jewellery and accessories label Brie Leon has taken up residence in Surry Hills. The new store, which we were engaged for the full interior design scope, will stand as their flagship store. As Brie Leon has grown and matured in its identity amongst the Australian fashion scene, they required a fit out that matched their “less trendy, more timeless” design ethos.
Though we leaned into a restrained colour palette to allow the product to remain the focus, we incorporated assertive forms and applications of these finishes to reaffirm the brands place in the market: memorable and tactile.
We created multiple customer touchpoint experiences that are reminders of the brands own design. The front door pull and ‘chain wall hanging’ include floral backplates that are modelled off a shape in their current collection. These are removable and interchangeable, allowing Brie Leon to simply laser cut a new backplate seasonally as they choose. Additionally, their house fabrics were used across all upholstery, giving them the same flexibility of updating them relative to their product collections.
The resulting space feels like a physical manifestation of their brand identity. The balance of softness and strength, masculine and feminine, and hard and soft is how their productreads to us and we are thrilled to see that
